Takes place on an annual basis and aims to enable postgraduate students or young university teachers specialized in international law, as well as young lawyers working in the international law field, to widen their knowledge of both the work of the International Law Commission and of the codification and progressive development of international law. It also provides an opportunity for lawyers coming from different legal systems and cultures to exchange views regarding items on the agenda of the Commission.
Adopted by the ILC at its sixty-third session, in 2011, and submitted to the GA as a part
of the Commission’s report covering the
work of that session (A/66/10, para. 75). The report will appear in Yearbook of the ILC, 2011, vol. II, Part 2.
Seeks to inform users about the UN’s work in the field of rule of law. Central UN rule of law web-based resource serving as a gateway to the rest of the UN’s related sites, and making information more widely accessible about UN rule of law issues and activities, and the various tools, documents and materials on the subject.
