In July 2020, UN Library & Archives Geneva launched #UNGenevaReads with The Future We Choose by Christiana Figueres, former Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and Tom Rivett-Carnac, senior political strategist for the Paris Agreement.
Looking at two scenarios of how life on Earth could be - on one hand if we fail to meet the climate targets of the Paris Agreement, and on the other what it could be like to live in a sustainable world - the authors set out our options and encourage us to face up to climate issues with determination and optimism. The authors are co-founders of Global Optimism, an organization focused on creating environmental and social change, and are co-hosts of the podcast Outrage and Optimism.
The Library's live online conversation with Tom Rivett-Carnac took place on 2 October 2020. You can watch it HERE.
