Researching the League of Nations Archives

This document is Australia's authenticated copy of the Treaty of Versailles, bound into a volume with photographed facsimile pages of the signatures and official seals.

Francisco Iglesias Brage was a member of the League of Nations’ Administrative Commission for the Territory of Leticia from 1933 to 1934. The collection includes correspondence, minutes, maps and plans related to the work of the Commission during his tenure.

Oxford holds a substantial collection of League of Nations documents and publications very little of which is available digitally. The collection is situated in the Official Papers reading room at the Bodleian Law Library, all the material is on open shelf.

This collection primarily contains materials generated or collected by the World Peace Foundation between 1899 and 1993. It includes books, pamphlets, maps, correspondence, and minutes and agenda. The collection is largely organized by subject, with most of the material dating from 1912 to 1941. The materials provide a window on international and ethnic tensions in the years between the two World Wars, particularly with regard to Japanese-American relations. They also showcase the activities of the peace movement from 1912-1993 and its attempts to inform and educate the public about the philosophy of pacifism. Additional material of note covers labor relations in the 1920s and 1930s, women's peace movements in various countries in the 1920s and 1930s, and the operation of the New England Intercollegiate Model League of Nations in the same period.

Harvard College Library's Government Information Services are housed in Lamont Library. Its collection includes the League of Nations documents and publications. This guide lists some of the most useful research tools related to League of Nations material and notes their location.

The Library’s collection of League of Nations publications includes official papers that were distributed to members of the League, sales publications that were of interest to the public, and archival records of individuals, institutions, and governments eg the personnel files of League employees.

A guide to "Wilsoniana" – collections on and relating to Woodrow Wilson in the Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library. The guide consists of four sections introducing Collections on Woodrow Wilson, Corollary Collections on Woodrow Wilson, Selected Other Resources in the Princeton University Library System, and Selected Holdings at Other Institutions.

University of Toronto has a large collection of League materials in microfilm as well as an extensive print collection of primary source documents from the League that can be searched through the library catalogue.

The History of International Organisations Group (HION) was founded in Geneva in Autumn 2008
"HION has two guiding objectives:
- To unite the many researchers working on the history of international organizations
- To promote collaboration between researchers, archivists of international organizations, and international civil servants, particularly those in charge of institutional history projects.
In autumn 2011, HION is nearly 160 members strong."
