Theme: Sharing Mining Benefits in the Energy Transition
The Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) supports governments to advance good mining governance for the betterment of communities, economies, and the environment.

Government policymakers, mining sector leaders, and civil society will convene to focus on the many issues connected to “Sharing Mining Benefits in the Energy Transition."

The Trade and Development Board oversees the activities of UNCTAD. It meets in Geneva up to three times a year in executive sessions to deal with urgent policy issues, as well as management and institutional matters.

To adapt to a changing digital landscape, the eCommerce Week becomes UNCTAD eWeek as of its 2023 edition.

UNCTAD will host the third iteration of the UN Trade Forum to take stock of trade policies that are best tailored to the challenges that the world faces.

The WTO, jointly with the WTO Gender Research Hub, will hold the Youth Trade Summit on Gender on 13-14 November at the WTO’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland to promote opportunities for young professionals and researchers to engage in discussions on trade and gender issues.

The General Council is the WTO’s highest-level decision-making body in Geneva, meeting regularly to carry out the functions of the WTO.

The topmost decision-making body of the WTO is the Ministerial Conference, which usually meets every two years. The January 2023 Chief Economists Outlook is published amid continuing economic uncertainty and challenges of historic proportions.
